-We are in the process of **merging the Innovation Workshop and Microfluidics Lab FBS Listings.** Once we are finished, you will be able to see all tool calendars from one location, rather than having to switch between facilities. **In the meantime, please continue using the separate facilities as usual.** We will send another update once the merge is complete, as well as an email announcement to all users.

-The **Trotec laser cutter has been repaired.** A flange that holds the compressed air line sheared. We made a replacement flange with the waterjet and reattached the compressed air line. Please pay extra attention to your cuts for the next week or so and email bdincau@ucsb.edu if you notice anything out of the ordinary.

-**We have redesigned our silanization chamber.** The new chamber features polymer valves and fittings which should not corrode like the stainless steel fittings used in the previous chamber. The silane agent is also stored in a sealed glass container now, so we can easily see when it is running low. Please take a moment to [[vapor_silanation_rig_sop_new | review the new SOP]] before using the tool. Report any issue to the lab manager, and note them in the log book.
