-Insert Text Here!+The SHINNG3D EinScan-SP 3D Scanner is located under the blackout curtains within Fume Hood #1 in the Innovation Workshop. A part can be placed on the central turn table, which will rotate as the scanner projects light onto the object being scanned. Transparent, reflective, or very dark surfaces are inherently difficult to scan, but coating the surface with powder may aid the quality of the scan. Calibration of the 3D scanner can aid in scan accuracy and should be done before scanning the first object.
